Book a Conference Room
Room booking and event announcements are handled by two systems:
Room Booking
- Room booking is managed through the Room Booking System (CSAIL Login required).

Event Announcements
- Event announcements are created directly on the main CSAIL website at https://www.csail.mit.edu.

Conference Room Etiquette
Before your meeting:
- Book your conference room in advance
- Cancel early if plans change
- Add any “Setup Instructions” at least 24 hours ahead
During your meeting:
- Don’t double book rooms (no squatting!)
- Keep the room clean; dispose of food properly
- Don’t remove hardware (dongles, cables, etc.)
After your meeting:
- Leave promptly when your time slot ends
- Leave the room as clean as or cleaner than you found it
- For meetings with food, create a no-cost custodial work order via MIT
Conference Room Types
There are two typical conference room types: conference room and seminar room. Please choose accordingly when booking your room. This is especially relevant when using the room for video conferencing.
Conference Room: Organized around a table for group collaboration with optional video attendees. Holds 10-30 people (room dependent).
Seminar Room: Organized around a presenter at a podium. Camera focuses on presenter, microphone at podium. Holds up to 98 people (room dependent).
Video Conferencing
All CSAIL conference and seminar rooms are Zoom Rooms that are equipped with physical hardware to run Zoom Meetings with just a tap of the button on a tablet. All of the video and audio is integrated into the conference room.
